What the Mission Trip Will Be Like

Chicago is very cosmopolitan with people of all backgrounds and walks of life. Our ministry hosts have established deep roots of friendships with the residents in the areas where you will serve. You will be able to build off this foundation of trust and build your own relationships with locals.

Ministry Overview
You will partner with a local church to share the hope and love of Jesus in a real and relevant way through a variety of ministry opportunities. Here are some things you might be doing in Chicago:

Children’s Ministry: Serve with a daycare program, build relationships, play games, and possibly accompany them on field trips to the zoo, museum, and other fun locations.

Homeless Ministry: Hit the streets to build relationships with the homeless. This could look like bringing snow cones and setting up a game of checkers or sitting and getting to know people. Teams will also have the opportunity to serve in homeless shelters.

Work Projects: This summer, the church is building a playground at a local public school and your team may get to be part of the process.

The cost does not include airfare. For domestic trips, the cost does not include ground transportation.
Mission Trip Offered By Adventures in Missions
You want to follow Jesus’s example in the way He cared for the lost and the hurting. You want to take up Jesus’s commission to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28) and be His witness to the ends of the earth (Acts 1).
Adventures in Missions is an interdenominational missions organization that focuses on discipleship. We emphasize prayer and relationships in our work around the world. Since we were established in 1989, we have taken over 115,000 people into the mission field, some for as short as a week and others for as long as a year or longer. We minister year-round through our ministry bases and strategic ministry partnerships. We believe that by giving people the opportunity to step outside their comfort zones and join what God is doing in other cultures and nations, lives are transformed.
