Adventures in Missions is an interdenominational missions organization that focuses on discipling. We emphasize prayer and relationships in our work among the poor.
Through our 14 bases around the world, we have year-round ministry to places where “the least of these” are found. We believe that by giving people the opportunity to hold orphans, bring hope to the hopeless, and pray for the sick, lives are transformed. We seek to disciple as Jesus did – our vision is that God would use us to raise up a generation of radically committed disciples of Jesus Christ!
We want to help you tell your story, find your purpose and answer God’s call on your life. It’s not too late to find your mission field…to choose your adventure!
To mobilize and equip the Church for missions.
To mobilize a new generation of missionaries and develop a global network of Great Commission-focused churches.
Mobilize: Partner with churches in the network to participate as both a host church and a sending church in sponsoring life-changing short-term missions trips.
Mobilize: Challenge young people to pursue a call to missions.
Equip: Develop a global network of missionary training schools to prepare those who have been called of God to go out into the harvest.
We ground our ministry in prayer. We are motivated by a love for the lost. We share a common desire to see integrity, faith, and excellence be the hallmarks of our ministry.
We are like the nerve connections in the body of Christ, linking one member to another and in so doing forging partnerships. Partnerships can occur between churches having a common geographical or ministry interest, as well as between sending and host churches. Ultimately, we aspire to create a global network of churches and leaders in partnership to fulfill the Great Commission. Through this network, appropriate ministry and training opportunities will be available to Christians in every country around the world. Through the ministry opportunities afforded by the network, a Great Commission vision will be kept fresh in the hearts of millions of Christians.
We seek to call out and disciple young people according to the Matt. 10 model producing a passionate commitment to minister as Jesus did. We are a catalyst to the local church in casting a great commission vision and calling the body of Christ to become outreach focused. We have three specific ministry thrusts:
1. Through our short-term missions program, we seek to mobilize individuals to embrace the great commission as a central purpose in their lives. As a result of their missions experience, prayer should become a daily part of their lives, giving to missions should increase, ministry to their own community should be an integral part of their lives, and they should become advocates for missions within the body of Christ and return to the mission field.
2. Replication of the U.S. model of AIM as a short term missions mobilization agency in national context around the world as a self sufficient agency and development of an international network linking them. Offer affordable, culturally appropriate missions experience for the national church.
3. Development of global network of missions training centers to produce national missionaries to realize the Great Commission. Training features discipleship (defined by Matt. 10) as the primary objective with secondary objectives on academic emphasis and acquisition of ministry skills.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is authoritative and infallible in the original writings.
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of God the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that faith in our Lord Jesus Christ is essential for the salvation of lost and sinful man.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
We believe in the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and eternal life.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Jesus Christ
