What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
Individuals can now pick their own dates!!!
Here are some of the many ministry options you may be involved in as part of a group:
CLM is currently constructing the first orphanage in the Ocho Rios area. The same facility is currently used as a youth camp in Jamaica by both indigenous and international mission groups. When completed the camp will accommodate up to 350 campers. North American teams will be able to interact with the Caribbean youth (big brothers big sisters kind of relationship) and participate in diverse activities such as sports, horse back riding, donkey rides, outdoor tent camping, games etc.
The camp sites will also serve as main location for Church groups camps, training facilities, and hosting visiting groups for years to come. All the groups involved in this project will have their names permanently engraved at the camps lobby as a memorial to the next generation.
In Jamaica as well as any other country of the Caribbean CLM serves, you (as part of a larger group) will be able to minister in orphanages, local churches, schools, and communities that desperately need to not only hear about, but also see the love of God in action.
You will work in diverse areas of ministry throughout the week, minister at your own pace, and not have to worry about any logistics. Since every country will present diverse conditions, needs and projects, the ministry options are endless...
Relation of Opportunity to National Church and/or Long-term Goals
All ministry happens under the auspices or in direct conjunction with a local church who will provide the necessary follow up. The CLM staff is the representative of the local church in the communities where your group will minister and will provide guidance for your group and follow up long after your group is gone.
