What the Mission Trip Will Be Like

Once you reach your destination in Joyabaj, your main project is mixing and pouring a concrete driveway. Your host missionaries have a mobile medical clinic that is currently unable to reach the top of the mountain to provide medical assistance to the locals in that area because of the bad roads. Your team will have a huge impact as you help meet this need.

You'll also have opportunities to share the Gospel through drama and puppets with the K’iche’  people in the surrounding villages. The K’iche’ are a Mayan people indigenous to Guatemala. During your stay in Joyabaj there will be opportunities to shop and barter at local markets for souvenirs. You will also have a day of sightseeing at an ancient Mayan ruins several hours from your location. Another sightseeing option that is available is spending the day visiting a beautiful lake several hours away.
