Adventures in Missions has taken more than 115,000 people on mission trips around the world. Romania is in the heart of Eastern Europe. The country is home to many Romanians who are familiar with the Orthodox Church and Roma people who are among the least reached in the country. Among both groups, faithful Romanian missionaries are evangelizing, discipling, and planting churches and people are starting to choose to live for Jesus.

What the Mission Trip Will Be Like

During your time in Romania you will serve with our partner Hope Church, a community dedicated to impacting the community with the hope of Christ on a local, regional, and international level. Hope Church is a church planting ministry focused on relationship building, discipleship and service.

Children’s Ministry: You will have the opportunity to work closely with several dedicated missionaries who share your heart for children. You will assist the missionaries in the Kids Club Program by preparing Bible lessons and crafts, and playing games with the children.
Church Ministry: Partner and encourage a local church through sermons, worship, and sharing your testimonies.
Community Outreach: Pass out eye-glasses and Bibles to the people living in the community.
Intercessory Prayer: Every morning, you will have the opportunity to participate in intercessory prayer. This is a great way to connect and build deep relationships with our local missionary staff as they lead the prayer each morning at the church. You will also learn about the needs of Craiova, Romania, and the Balkan region. This has been a favorite activity of teams in the past, and we look forward to partnering with you in prayer
Food Distribution: Many people are hungry and in need in the area. Your team could have the opportunity to share the love of Christ as you deliver food to those in need.

Lodging:

Your team will stay in the ‘Team House,’ which has several rooms with bunk beds and a couple of common areas. You will also have hot showers, bathrooms, running water and wifi.

Travel:

The destination is Craiova. Your team will fly into Bucharest, where we’ll meet you and take the 3-4 hour drive to the ministry site. Your team will arrive on Friday evening, have Saturday to get acclimated and have orientation before joining their church for service and then getting started on ministry on Sunday.

All local transportation will be arranged for you, including pick up and dropoff at the airport. Sometimes you’ll also use taxis to get around town. Some ministries are within walking distance.

Relation of Opportunity to National Church and/or Long-term Goals

It is our privilege to join the local churches who practice community evangelism and the establishment of new churches by loving and helping neighbors, and sharing the Gospel of hope, purpose, and truth with them. We learn so much from them, and share great joy in the experience!

Mission Trip Offered By Adventures in Missions

You want to follow Jesus’s example in the way He cared for the lost and the hurting. You want to take up Jesus’s commission to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28) and be His witness to the ends of the earth (Acts 1).

Adventures in Missions is an interdenominational missions organization that focuses on discipleship. We emphasize prayer and relationships in our work around the world. We seek to disciple as Jesus did; our vision is that God would use us to raise up a generation of radically committed disciples of Jesus Christ.

Since we were established in 1989, we have taken over 115,000 people into the mission field, some for as short as a week and others for as long as a year or longer. We minister year-round through our ministry bases and strategic ministry partnerships. We believe that by giving people the opportunity to step outside their comfort zones and join what God is doing in other cultures and nations, lives are transformed.
