What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
What's the ride like?
Most rides average around 70 miles per day, with riders joining for the whole way or any of the weeklong segments.
Our unique events include Fuller Center build days, daily devotionals, and an ethos of living simply — focusing on God and each other as we direct our resources to helping families have a decent home in which to live.
It all adds up to us focusing on building a strong community together. We have a support vehicle, but we also support each other. And one of the best parts is connecting with so many wonderful churches, who host us indoors each night and often enthusiastically feed us better than we could feed ourselves!
Why do we ride?
The event is not a race, but an invitation to break from the routine of daily life and follow Jesus’s call to love and serve our neighbor, especially “the least of these,” as we help families have homes.
Thirty years from now, will we wish we spent more time in an office or more time out exploring beautiful countryside, getting our hands dirty for something meaningful and changing the world?
What can you tell us about this year/s route?
This route is a culmination of everything cyclists want in a cross-country ride: beautiful scenery, build days, and incredible host churches. For 10 weeks the group will experience the country by bike from the pristine Oregon Coast to the rocky Maine shores.
The group will have the opportunity to volunteer on 7 different build days, including 4 locations our Bicycle Adventure has not visited before.
This trip will be one for the memories as we go through Glacier National Park, traverse the very northern U.S., visit the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for the first time, touch all 5 Great Lakes, and visit Niagara Falls. Enjoy our country’s rich history, wide-open spaces, and beautiful waters on this northern trip over the summer. This is the one you don’t want to miss!
What about Covid?
Since we rely heavily upon host churches and live together as a community during our rides, all participants in 2022 must either be vaccinated for COVID-19 or undergo regular COVID-19 testing during the event. More details are available on our website.

Relation of Opportunity to National Church and/or Long-term Goals
The Fuller Center for Housing serves through a network of Christian, locally-led chapters called Covenant Partners in about 80 cities in the United States and 20 countries around the world. During the ride, we will have the opportunity to serve through about 7 local Fuller Centers.
Additional Trip Information
All funds raised go to support the home-building and repair ministry of The Fuller Center for Housing, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Americus, Georgia. Historically, less than 3% of the funds raised pay for the costs of the trip, with the rest going towards the work of the ministry.
Mission Trip Offered By The Fuller Center for Housing
The Fuller Center for Housing is a non-profit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry dedicated to eliminating poverty housing worldwide. By forming partnerships with local organizations, The Fuller Center provides the structure, guidance and support that communities need to build and repair homes for the impoverished among them.
We operate through local Covenant Partner organizations, which are volunteer led and driven. Visiting Global Builders teams will have the opportunity to assist one of our local Fuller Centers — called Covenant Partners — build or renovate a home for a family in need in their community.
