What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
Beauty for Ashes exists to share God's restoration, hope, and healing with women through ministry and training. Through Beauty for Ashes Retreats, women support and encourage each other by sharing their own stories and experiencing the healing, redeeming power of Jesus.
Trip Description
Your time in Northeast Georgia, will be spent working with women of different backgrounds from our local ministry partners, including women who are survivors of sexual exploitation living in a recovery group in Atlanta. Northeast Georgia is one hour north of Atlanta, home to the busiest airport in the world. Due to this large activity, Atlanta has become a hub for human trafficking and sexual exploitation, which has spread throughout Georgia.

Ministry Overview
As a participant on this domestic mission trip, you will join your team in North Georgia, enjoying the warmth of new friends and the expectancy of how God will move. You will personally experience Beauty for Ashes ministry through a time of authenticity, vulnerability, hope, and healing as you allow God to use your story to empower you and your team.
You will then have an opportunity to share the freedom you’ve received at a Beauty for Ashes retreat. Your team will host retreats for women who have experienced homelessness, various forms of abuse, and survivors of sexual exploitation, who are now in the loving care of local residential programs.
Your team will:

Host Beauty for Ashes retreats, creating spaces for God to bring hope, healing, and redemption to the stories of local women.

Be equipped to share about topics such as worth, identity, healing, and forgiveness with others through storytelling and vulnerability.

Build meaningful relationships with your team and those with whom you minister.

Gain a deeper understanding of who God is and who you are as His daughter.
Housing
Your team will lodge at the Adventures in Missions Gainesville location. Everyone will need to provide their own sleeping pad, sleeping bag, pillow, toiletries and towel. Please be aware showers are outside the building you will be lodging in.

Your flight is not included in the trip cost. We will direct you in the arrival time to the airport where you will meet your team, and transportation will be provided to your ministry location.
