What the Mission Trip Will Be Like

Costa Rica - Education

In Costa Rica you’ll have the opportunity to serve in one of the following ministries: Community and Environmental Health, Creative Arts, Education/Tutoring, Boys & Girls Club, Microfinance, or Sports!

Our style is relational and is therefore centered around our long-standing presence within the communities where we work. This may be challenging for people who expect to see immediate "results" in evangelism and project completion. As a result, however, we see outreach participants and the poor transformed into the likeness of Christ and discover their true calling.

In the southern part of San Jose, you’ll minister to the Desamparados or “Forgotten Ones” of Costa Rica. Local host families provide evening meals and a place to rest after a long day at your ministry site. Excursion options include the beach, ziplining, and La Paz Waterfall Garden.

For 28 years, we’ve sent over 25,000 students to serve alongside our full-time missionaries in hard-to-reach communities. Those students have helped transform thousands of lives for the better. And so can you.
