Do you have a heart to share the Gospel with millions of people in Asia? You could do that every day while climbing towers at our transmitter site on Guam, performing preventive and corrective maintenance on six curtain antennas, towers, groundworks switching equipment, delay lines and balanced transmission lines. Join our team of dedicated workers there who love Jesus and are committed to getting His Word out via super-power radio signals by working on suspended rigging to accomplish maintenance activities on curtain antennas and screens.

What the Mission Trip Will Be Like

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on 6 curtain antennas, towers, ground works switching equipment, delay lines, and balanced transmission lines.

Core Competencies: Commitment to Jesus Christ evidenced by a personal relationship. Excitement about being involved in full-time missions and willingness to develop a team of prayer and financial partners. Cultural sensitivity within international teams. Ability to work independently and achieve desired results. Flexibility regarding work demands including occasional irregular hours. Research, design, explain, coordinate, and follow a planned course of action on projects. Climb and work safely at heights in hot, humid conditions, in good health, and have experience in safely lifting and moving heavy objects.

Responsibilities: Perform maintenance and upkeep of field array of six curtain antennas. Perform mechanical work and assist with various antenna field work such as mowing 12 acres of field, maintaining parameter fence and related duties. Maintain inventory and assist with re-supply. Maintain a safe workplace program.

Desirable Qualifications: Diploma or degree in mechanics is optimal. Equivalent experience will be considered. Strong mechanical aptitude. Proficiency in oral and written English.

This position is a supported/sponsored missionary role (not a direct-hire job), so the future employee must develop a team of partners who provide financially for his/her full salary and benefits. We provide training, resources, and coaching to help missionaries reach their financial support goals. If you go as a volunteer, you can raise funds for your travel and a per diem to cover meals and lodging.
