If you have experience and education in the field of mechanical engineering there's a place for you at our West Africa site. What the Mission Trip Will Be Like

Use your mechnical engineering skills to help with various projects at our transmitter site in West Africa. This is a short-term experience (3-12 months) and an exceptional opportunity for recent college graduates who are interested in missions and want to get some hands-on experience, all while learning about the ministry and mission of TWR. 

Core Competencies:

  • Commitment to Jesus Christ evidenced by a personal relationship
  • Excitement about being involved in global missions and willingness to develop a team of prayer and financial partners 
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to change
  • Cultural sensitivity within international teams
  • Research, design, explain, coordinate, and follow a planned course of action on projects
  • Climb and work safely at heights in excess of 400’, in good health, and have experience in safely lifting and moving heavy objects

Responsibilities:

Depends on the projects being done, but some may include: 

  • Operate, repair and maintain the transmitters, antennas and associated equipment to ensure reliability
  • Design and implement changes to transmitters and associated equipment
  • Provide support in various areas relating to the on-air operations, including programming, administrative and general maintenance functions
  • Participate in the development of long-range planning of major facility modifications

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering

The work being done at our transmitter in West Africa helps support the local church by providing Christian content (audio and digital media) to equip and encourage believers.
