Relation of Opportunity to National Church and/or Long-term Goals
Our philosophy is Get One, Give One. Built into the cost of attendance is a contribution toward the training of a pastor for the same amount of time an individual engages in the gap year program. This means that if you come for 9 months, you are contributing to the training of a pastor for 9 months of his studies, generating transformational pastoral impact within Latin America and the Caribbean through the MEDA seminary program.
Moreover, participants will attend a local church, while serving and being mentored by the missionaries involved there. In a very real sense, MIM is not only a place for young adults to come and be purposefully prepared for lifelong service to our Lord at home or abroad, but also a ministry helping support the students and graduates of the seminary to proclaim the gospel throughout Central America. We look forward to serving Christ with you at MIM, Honduras!
