What the Mission Trip Will Be Like

Be the hands and feet of Jesus by living on mission in South America. You’ll spend 6 months traveling through 3 countries affected by displacement, poverty, and inequality. Start your 6-month mission trip in Peru, serving at a children’s home and reaching the local community and Venezuelan refugees. Travel to Medellin, Colombia, where you will meet tangible needs as an expression of the Gospel alongside Ciudad Refugio. Venture into Brazil where you’ll work with the most unreached groups and join a long-term effort to bring the Word of God to a people group. Spend your summer bringing light to dark and broken places by loving on families in poverty, meeting the tangible needs of refugees, and sharing the hope of the Gospel with those who have never heard it before.

If you want to love on families in poverty, meet the tangible needs of refugees, and share the hope of the Gospel, then this is the trip for you.

Relation of Opportunity to National Church and/or Long-term Goals

We seek to cultivate long-term, global change in people and projects that will continue long after our work is done. We have a kingdom-of-God paradigm that is bigger than just the reach of our ministry, and we encourage participants to adopt the same mindset. We emphasize strategic partnership with long-term missionaries and local churches who are making a sustainable impact in their country and community for the Kingdom of God. You will come alongside these partners to add support and encouragement to their established ministry that carries on beyond your time with them.

Training debriefing
You’ll also receive training on how to partner with God to establish His Kingdom on Earth. At Training you will join your team, leaders, and Adventures in Missions training staff to prepare you for the World Race. Through teaching, prayer, scenarios, and relationship building, you will step out of fear and shame and into intimacy with the Father. Topics covered include: evangelism, cross-cultural ministry training, personal mental/emotional health, how to share your stories, living in close community, adapting to the unknown, and more. Mission Trip Offered By Adventures in Missions

You want to follow Jesus’s example in the way He cared for the lost and the hurting. You want to take up Jesus’s commission to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28) and be His witness to the ends of the earth (Acts 1).

Adventures in Missions is an interdenominational missions organization that focuses on discipleship. We emphasize prayer and relationships in our work around the world. We seek to disciple as Jesus did; our vision is that God would use us to raise up a generation of radically committed disciples of Jesus Christ.

Since we were established in 1989, we have taken over 115,000 people into the mission field, some for as short as a week and others for as long as a year or longer. We minister year-round through our ministry bases and strategic ministry partnerships. We believe that by giving people the opportunity to step outside their comfort zones and join what God is doing in other cultures and nations, lives are transformed.
