What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
Belize is known as the "Jewel in the heart of the Caribbean". With over 450 Cayes or islands, a warm and diverse people group, a population of only 380,000, and English is spoken as the official language, Belize is a welcoming location to explore and minister!
We will learn about the unity of the 7 churches in the Mayan Village of San Antonio, encourage a young Christian man and his family who ministers here, and discover the local projects like peanut and coffee growing. We will partner with Pastor Bood of the Belize River Valley Church to install a water line to a house that does not have water and learn about the micro-business efforts of this rural community. We will travel to Caye Caulker to visit with Pastor Oscar as he ministers under a tarp on the sand beach.
We will explore the history of Belize by visiting the Mayan Temples, the wildlife of Belize through a Black Howler Monkey Tour, and by snorkeling the world's second-largest barrier reef, and have some time to reflect at the end of our trip by the Caribbean Sea on Caye Caulker.
