What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
Big Creek Missions offers week-long immersive mission trips for all ages for only $229 per person total cost. At Big Creek, your participants will be exposed to the challenging realities of life in Appalachia, while experiencing the rich culture and responding to basic needs. Our staff will work alongside your team to provide a life-changing experience that will result in transformation during and AFTER the trip is over. We offer an upbeat, encouraging, and focused mission site that inspires missional living throughout the year.
We believe that life change occurs as team members put their faith into action. We do not seek to create "emotional highs" that feel good, but rather, expose your team members to practical truths and realities that inspire life change.
Our mission centers are year-round, and our staff work throughout the year buidling relationships, locating needs, and responding to needs. Your team will work alongside our staff to create meaningful relationships and meet basic needs in our community.
Participants can choose from three areas of ministry:
Construction: roofing, ramps, framing, finish work, and more
Children's Ministry: VBS-style daycamps offered at various locations with up to 150 local children attending daily
Community ministry: Food pantry, clothing centers, home visits, yard work, and more!
Group Service
Your group can stay together and work as a team or mix with other service teams and grow together!
Accomodations & Food
Participants will be housed at our mission centers located in Leslie County or Floyd County Kentucky
Both mission centers offer AC/Heat, hot showers, bunk lodging with mattresses, guys / girls separate dorm rooms
Hot Breakfast and Hot Dinner provided daily. Cold sack lunches provided daily (participants will make their own lunches each morning)
Worship
A worship service with speaker, & worship leader (or full band) is provided each morning and evening
Locations
Leslie County Kentucky (Bear Branch, Kentucky) – housing for up to 200 participants weekly
Floyd County Kentucky (Wheelwright, Kentucky) – housing for up to 75 participants weekly

Lodging, Meals, Staffing, ministry and construction materials are included in this cost. You won't be surprised by additional fees.
