What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
Soak up the island scenery while serving the Lord!

What comes to your mind when you think of Fiji? Beautiful beaches, crystal-clear water, colorful clothing, or waterfalls and mountains? Experience all of the above and more as you sign up to serve the Lord on this beautiful South Pacific island nation.
Travel: After training at the Lord’s Boot Camp, your team will bus to the Orlando International Airport where you board a flight over the southern United States to Los Angeles. Following a layover in LA, you will fly over the Pacific Ocean, and Hawaii, before landing in Nadi, Fiji. Once you retrieve your luggage, you will board minivans for the short trip, past sugar cane fields and over hills, to the Sabeto Youth Camp which will be your project site for the summer.
The location of this beautiful camp, overlooking sugar cane fields and mountains in the distance, will take your breath away. The wide open spaces, comfortable mild weather, sunrises and sunsets along with viewing the stars at night will be a part of your daily experiences.
Ministry: Your team project will be to build a fence surrounding this property. There will also be smaller projects, such as painting and pouring sidewalks, that need to be accomplished. In addition to the work projects, there will be opportunities to visit local schools where you will share the love of Christ with the students, many of them from a Muslim or Hindu background. There may also be an opportunity to visit a local orphanage for more ministry opportunities.
Adventure: You will be visiting a local beach where there may be an opportunity to snorkel in the clear blue waters of the Pacific. You will also hike two miles to the Sleeping Giant Zipline where you will have the opportunity to zipline through the local rainforest, hike to a waterfall and enjoy swimming at the base of the waterfall. Shop in Nadi where you can barter for souvenirs such as wood carvings, T-shirts, colorful Fijian shirts and wrap skirts, and you will not want to come home without a Fijian ukulele.

Relation of Opportunity to National Church and/or Long-term Goals
With 50+ years of experience in long and short term missions ministry, Teen Missions has developed a strong relationship with the national church. Teen Missions has ministry bases in 22 countries where local youth from the national churches receive training and national church ministries receive work and evangelism projects. With over 300 full-time staff members (mostly nationals), we have a long-term presence on the ground long after the short-term team departs. This ensures that the valuable work and evangelism ministries of our summer teams are woven into the daily year-round efforts of the local host effecting lasting change and ministry fruit. Most of our teams are hosted by our own national full-time staff missionaries. Other teams are hosted by national churches and local ministries with whom, in most cases, we’ve been working with for years (if not decades).

For all teams outside of the U.S., you will need to obtain a passport.
