What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
Even though Alaska isn't an international destination, we include it in our international lineup because the itinerary is structured more like an international location than a domestic one.
To many, Alaska stands as America’s final frontier—beautiful, rugged, and maybe even a little dangerous. But for those few who call Alaska home, hardship is constantly knocking at the door, especially for the elderly.
Building relationships with God and with one another are guaranteed outcomes of a short-term mission trip with Group International Mission Trips. Your group will be able to bond not only with each other but with the people you serve.
Our projects have been coordinated by a local Christian camp, and involve many different types of service for up-keep of their campground. We will also be partnering with a local church to help run their Vacation Bible School and fellowship with their youth, among other community outreach projects.
Sample Itinerary:
Saturday – Arrive at Fairbanks Airport; activities in Fairbanks; check-in at local Christian camp
Sunday – Attend a local partner church
Monday-Thursday– Service projects at local Christian camp; evening devotions and God Sightings
Friday – Free day
Saturday – Depart for FAI Airport; fly home

• Perform upkeep at local Christian camp-grounds
• Repair and maintenance projects and debris/tree cleanup for low-income households in Fairbanks
