What the Mission Trip Will Be Like

Costa Rica Partner Family

We Need Your Help as we Serve the people of Costa Rica:

Costa Rica is a beautiful, Spanish-speaking country has a per capita income of just under $13,000 USD. With a population of approximately 5 million people, one in every four children lives below the poverty line. Costa Rica also attracts a significant transient population; there are many people in the tourist areas that are spiritually lost. Some stay for the week, some stay forever, but Costa Rica is a melting pot of global travelers. Drug and human trafficking put youth and women who are already vulnerable at even greater risk.

Our local ministry partner Chespi and his family see a true need for outreach, evangelism, and community development. They live in a community of about 300 called Playa Azul and serve in surrounding towns. They have planted a church and developed a camp to reach local children. Our aim is to come alongside locals, supporting the good work they are already doing to meet physical needs while sharing the gospel.

Service Opportunities on this Costa Rica Mission Trip:

Bold Hope is not only partnered for short-term missions, but is also partnered in deep, long-lasting HOPE initiatives. Training debriefing

Before your mission experience to Costa Rica, Bold Hope will prepare you with resources to gather your team, fundraising ideas and suggestions, a complete itinerary, a Bold Hope Mission Consultant, cultural and medical information, help with securing plane tickets, a packing list, a community needs list, information on acquiring a passport, and many other pre-trip helps. We also provide pre-trip training materials and slide presentations. We can help you craft specialized training, including information on cultural challenges, evangelizing in love, and logistical specifics that may interest those who choose to serve with you.

At the end of the week, you are invited to debrief the week as a group with our team on the ground. We also provide resources so that you can continue this debriefing when you return home. During debrief, we encourage reflection on how God moved during the week as well as what God may be calling you into as a result of the week in ministry. This debrief time is low-key, yet powerful. We present opportunities to appreciate others, sponsor children, serve on future trips, and more during this time! Our hope is that this week on mission creates excitement for you or your team to travel home with a mission to have an impact there as well.
