Inquire about the trip

Haiti is a beautiful country with kind people who welcome visitors. We invite you to come serve with us in our ministry there. Active in Haiti since 2010, Bold Hope supports a local ministry that serves the people of Arcahaie. Our hope is that by joining us in service, you and your team will be blessed as you bless the families of our community. We work alongside a local church, school, medical clinic, and feeding program to support what God and his church are doing there. Our ministry is relational and long-term, your trip is part of a greater mission and vision for the community and we welcome your help in meeting the local goals for the community. While there, you can serve in many ways that can have a powerful and lasting impact.

What the Mission Trip Will Be Like

Join us as we serve the people of Arcahaie, Haiti. We need your help!

This trip to Haiti is set up for those who are ready to serve in a place where person after person leaves saying "that was the most amazing experience of my life." The people of Haiti are beautiful and love to have visitors. They will welcome conversations with you and their generosity with each other and with us has taught us how to be more generous. We hope it will do the same for you.

We are in need of several teams to help us reach our goals for 2021. Haiti is known as a place with limited medical coverage with many having limited or no access to healthcare. Join one of our teams as we serve in partnership with the local church. Our pop-up medical clinics are meant to help meet the needs of communities in our greater region.

We need your help providing medical clinics, educational programs for the community, and for helping us assess the needs of the community with whom we work.

Service Opportunities: This ask is for medical needs, but we also have opportunities to do the following while on our trip…

  • Children and orphan care
  • Feeding program
  • Sports with kids or adults
  • VBS / Church outreach
  • Construction – both simple and complex construction available

Sample Itinerary (subject to change):

  • Day 1 – Arrive Port-au-Prince, travel to ministry location, learn about ministry
  • Day 2 – 6  – Medical clinics in morning and afternoon, recreational time late in afternoon/evening (or pick a day separately for recreation)
  • Day 7 – Say goodbyes, and fly home

Accomodations, Meals, and Travel:

  • The pricing includes staying at Kaliko Beach Club – https://www.kalikobeachclub.com/ which causes higher prices than some of our other opportunites, but also makes it possible for individuals of all ages to join in the service.
  • Breakfast and dinner are at the resort, normally buffet style. Includes both Haitian and American food.
  • Lunch is at the service location and is normally Haitian style food.
  • Sleeping is 4 to a room with two full or larger beds, A/C and other normal amenities for a hotel are included. If you desire one person per bed there is an upcharge.
  • Travel to/from Haiti is not included in the price. We do book plane tickets for teams and can give you a quote if you desire.

Other Items to Consider

  • Haiti has a history of political unrest and difficulty, it is one reason we love to serve there and are committed there, but it does sometimes interfere with travel plans
  • Haiti has been relatively calm in recent months and we are planning groups for 2021 since things have been safe
  • We ask groups that book Haiti with us to have a "backup" country since travel to Haiti sometimes needs to be canceled
  • We do not take groups to Haiti when it is at "Travel Level 4, Do Not Travel"

Relation of Opportunity to National Church and/or Long-term Goals

We have deep ties in the community and work tightly with the local residents of Arcahaie, Haiti. We work side-by-side with a local pastor and with others from the village. We have over 40 Haitians on staff and are thankful for their constant input into how we can best serve their community and their people. There is a church, planted and run by Haitians, that meets on our site and is thriving. We help support a school, medical clinic, small sports center, and feeding program through our child sponsorship program.

Training debriefing

Before your mission experience, Bold Hope will prepare you with resources to gather your team, fundraising ideas and suggestions, a complete itinerary, a Bold Hope Mission Consultant, cultural and medical information, help with securing plane tickets, a packing list, a community needs list, information on acquiring a passport, and many other pre-trip helps. We also provide pre-trip training materials and slide presentations. We can help you craft specialized training including information on cultural challenges, evangelizing in love, and logistical specifics that may interest those who choose to serve with you.

At the end of the week, you are invited to debrief the week as a group with our team on the ground. We also provide resources so that you can continue this debriefing when you return home. During debrief, we encourage reflection on how God moved during the week as well as what God may be calling you into as a result of the week in ministry. This debrief time is low key, yet powerful. We present opportunities to appreciate others, sponsor children, serve on future trips, and more during this end of the week time! Our hope is that this week on mission gives opportunity for your team to travel home with a mission to impact there as well.
