What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
Where: Nadi, Fiji
With Whom: ACTION missionaries Jeff and Kyndra Reed
When: Year-round with approval by the missionaries and acceptance as ACTION Intern
Q & A with ACTION missionaries Jeff and Kyndra Reed:
1. What are some ministry tasks that you want the intern to accomplish while serving with you?
Shadowing missionaries in their day-to-day ministry tasks. This could include:
• Children’s ministry
• Relationship building for the purpose of gospel conversations
• Tutoring
• Serving the poor
• Farm tasks
• Serving alongside a local church seeking to win the lost and disciple believer
2. What are some key lessons from your ministry and walk with the Lord that you want to impart to the interns to help them as they consider their own individual call to missions or vocational ministry?
Disciplemaking as a pattern of life and calling has been given to all believers by Christ himself. Our desire would be to teach students about the life of disciplemaking that Christ modeled for his disciples while also giving students the chance to put those lessons into practice. There would also be a strong emphasis on the Kingdom of God and our rightful place in it.
Specific skills an intern may expect to develop by the time the internship is completed:
• How to develop Gospel-centered relationships with the lost, specifically:
• How to build Christ-like relationships and love the lost
• How to plant biblical truth
• How to challenge people to consider Christ’s call to repent and believe
• How to share their faith through personal testimony and a succinct Gospel message
• Depending on the amount of time students would spend with us they would also learn about the process that Paul used to plant churches
• One of the more important things interns would learn through their time with us would be how to put our Christian faith into action by going out and living alongside missionaries as they do the work. Interns would be invited into those daily patterns to learn from their model.

Action International Ministries (ACTION) is a global mission agency committed to sending multi-national missionaries who treasure Jesus Christ and minister His Gospel in word and deed, primarily to the poor.
Our three-prong strategy for urban ministry can be defined under three headings: evangelism, discipleship, and development.
