Requirements:
*Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.

• Current bachelor degree student or recent graduate of language teacher preparation program (BA or higher in TESOL or similar major preferred, CELTA/TEFL certicate minimum)
• A team player that is willing to work alongside a seminary staff that is mostly Ukrainian
• An interest in developing professional language teaching skills
• A desire to serve in cross-cultural ministry and participate strategically in training future ministers of the Gospel for Ukraine, Russia and Central Asia.
• A willingness to learn Ukrainian culture and a local language (Russian and/or Ukrainian)

Responsibilities:
One key component of students' training at UETS is English. English is essential for our students to get a quality theological education and to be prepared for cross-cultural ministry. As an english teacher intern with UETS you will:

• Prepare lessons and teach English 8-12 hours a week.
• Assess students' language knowledge and progress.
• Perform peer teaching observations and evaluations.
• Plan and organize English-language related extracurricular activities.
• Help with occasional intensive language courses.
• Attend occasional local TEFL/TESOL conferences.

Living Environment:
Free room and board. Dorm-style accommodations with shared kitchen and bathroom on campus in the beautiful Pushcha-Vodytsia neighborhood in Kyiv, Ukraine. Nearby regular tram and bus lines connect the historic neighborhood to the main city. There is a fitness room, some sports facilities, music practice rooms, and a cafeteria on campus that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. A small grocery store is within walking distance of the seminary, but it is only a 15-20 minute bus ride to Lavina Mall, the largest shopping center in Ukraine. Free, hi-speed campus-wide WI-FI.

Working Environment:
A seminary campus with recently renovated academic facilities and oce space. Newly remodeled (2017) classrooms with whiteboards, projectors and sound systems. Campus-wide hi-speed internet. Mostly Ukrainian staff and faculty.
