What the Mission Trip Will Be Like

*Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.

Single. Along with a self-feeding relationship with God, interns must be self-initiating, self-driven, and self-disciplined, as well as teachable and able to work well with others. Prior experience of sharing the Gospel, discipling others, and leading groups is highly recommended. Interns must also be committed members of our local church while here in Indonesia.

In partnership with one of our churches, you would be responsible for 1) sharing the Gospel to students & following up with those who are open, 2) discipling students personally and in small groups, and 3) initiating/leading ministries on campus as sustainable contexts to build relationships with students (e.g. Frisbee, English conversation, career development, etc.).

Living Environment:
Live in an apartment with roommates.

Working Environment:
Meet once a week with the supervisor for guidance, accountability, and counseling, but the majority of time and energy would be spent building contexts, sharing the Gospel, and discipling university students on/near campus.

Training debriefing
All interns will be assigned a pre-field mentor who will help coach them through the pre, on, and post-field journey. This typically involves connecting by phone or Skype every few weeks to walk through basic pre-field ministry topics like raising support, safety, ministering cross-culturally ,etc. as well as providing prayer support and guidance through logistics. The intern's mentor will also setup a time to debrief and follow-up after their internship.

Mission Trip Offered By WorldVenture

Billions of people don’t know Jesus. We’re not okay with that.

More than words, they are a reminder on the wall of our main office of why we do what we do. Since 1943, God has used thousands of WorldVenture workers and partners to impact millions with the good news.
We plant churches, build clinics, educate children, train leaders, provide disaster relief, combat injustice, foster the arts, and serve the poor with economic development…in Jesus name and to make disciples.
We recruit, train, and send disciples of Jesus throughout the world who sense Gods call to give their lives to share the gospel with people who have yet to hear it. And we partner with multitudes of Christ-following disciples in engaging the world for gospel impact.
