Empower a Child has mission trips in Uganda all throughout the year. From two weeks to one year, we have a place for those who have a heart for the orphans and the youth of Africa!

What the Mission Trip Will Be Like

Individual Short-term Mission Trips:

Short-term mission trips range from 2 weeks to 4 months. Volunteers are welcome to come as individuals and work in our medical clinic in the village. Medical volunteers have assisted in nursing, first aid and wound care, physical therapy, family planning, midwifery, and community health training. Volunteers can also join our weekly outreach programs and work in praise and worship, skits and drama, and games, to share the love of Christ with the most vulnerable youth of Uganda.

Costs

1 week: $550

10 days – 2 weeks: $950

3 weeks: $1,200

4 weeks: $1,400

5 weeks: $1,600

6 weeks; $1,800

7 weeks: $2,000

8 weeks or 2 months: $2,200

3-4 months: $900 per month

5 months +: $800 per month

Your trip has the option to end with a three-day safari in one of Uganda’s national parks.

Safaris are conducted by View Africa Tour Specialists, a safari company set-up to give back. A portion of all profits on these safaris go back to support the work of Empower a Child. See them at www.viewafricasafari.com.

Short-term mission volunteer work alongside the staff and Ugandan volunteers during all the outreaches who carry out the programs week to week. Ideas shared by short-term volunteers are usually implemented into the long term activities of the projects.

Mission Trip Offered By Empower a Child

Empower a Child works in Kampala and Zirobwe, Uganda and Nairobi, Kenya. We work with schools, orphanages, babies’ homes, and hospitals bringing the love of Christ to children in need. Individuals, families, friends, church groups, school groups, and college groups are welcome to join us in our weekly outreach programs for trips lasting anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months. All trips are customize-able, depending on when you would like to come.
