2018 Group Photo Fort Mac

Due to COVID-19, this trip has been canceled. However, we have a new way for youth groups to still participate in a Youth Unlimited SERVE Mission Trip. Introducing: [email protected] Read all the details here: https://www.youthunlimited.org/servehome/  Have a safe summer! See you next year!

Youth Unlimited provides week-long high school service trips and other faith-forming events for middle and high school age students. Each year we partner with churches to host SERVE events in their local communities, which are five to seven-day youth mission trips that send students out to care for and restore their world in an environment where they’ll encounter the concepts of justice and missional living. More than just a short high school service trip, SERVE is a faith-forming experience where the communities, congregations, and students involved all experience lasting transformation.

Fort McMurray, AB

Fort McMurray has been called the gem of northern Alberta.  Our community is populated by hard-working people who hail from all corners of the globe.  Many families tell the story of how they planned to move here for just a few years but ended up falling in love with the place, set down deep roots and made Fort McMurray their home.  This is a city of pioneering spirit where friends become family and opportunity abounds.  The effects of the 2016 wildfire are still being felt as population numbers have not fully returned to pre-fire levels and rebuilding continues.  Food Bank use and homelessness have increased.  Evergreen is committed to reaching our community with the good news of Christ and SERVE will take an active part in this work.  We will offer art, music and soccer camps, go into the streets to spread the love of Jesus, and continue to work on the Eden Garden Project that began with SERVE 2018.  We look forward to serving God together with SERVE 2020.

Each adult leader recieves the Leaders Guide one month before the trip so they can review the theme material and small group discussion outlines. During the trip: the Speaker, Worship Leader and the Spiritual Life Coordinator from the host church work with youth leaders to weave together the entire experience in light of the Gospel. Personal devotions, small group discussion material and debriefing questions for the work day are all included in the Leaders Guide and discussed in daily Leader Meetings. Post Trip: Youth Unlimited has worked hard with church leaders to develop a post trip plan that helps students think through the spiritual impact of the week and integrate what they've learned in to every day life. The post trip plan is in the Leaders Guide as well as the Digital Resource Box.

Mission Trip Offered By Youth Unlimited

Youth Unlimited provides week-long high school service trips and other faith-forming events for middle and high school age students. Each year we partner with churches to host SERVE events in their local communities, which are five to seven-day youth mission trips that send students out to care for and restore their world in an environment where they’ll encounter the concepts of justice and missional living. More than just a short high school service trip, SERVE is a faith-forming experience where the communities, congregations and students involved all experience lasting transformation.

SERVE is an answer to prayer on at least 3 levels. 1. Host Churches doing sustainable community outreach are praying for God to send laborers to advance their efforts to share the Gospel in tangible ways. 2. People in the host community are praying that God would help them. 3. Your youth group is obviously praying for a place to go and make a difference.

Your group could be an answer to prayer breathing energy into a Host Church and their community outreach while serving and learning from people in their community.

Innovative Church leaders invite your group to serve and learn in their community for a week and will send you home wanting to serve your own congregation and community all through the year.
