What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
Dates: June 11 – August 5, 2022
Teen Trip – Ages 13-19 (Adults may inquire about leadership opportunities.)
Adventure, excitement and ministry await you this summer as you serve the Lord in Taichung, Taiwan!
Travel: After Boot Camp you will fly from the Orlando International Airport across the Gulf of Mexico, Texas, New Mexico, and the Rocky Mountains to San Francisco, California. From San Francisco you board a flight that crosses the Pacific Ocean and the International Date Line before arriving in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan. From the airport, you then bus two hours southwest to Taichung.
Ministry: Your project is multi-faceted. You will assist in service projects and share the Gospel using using games, music, puppets, and balloons at three locations during your project time. You will also be promoting Teen Missions in preparation for recruiting Taiwanese young people to join a future Boot Camp in Taiwan.
Adventure: A day trip is planned to Taipei, where you will go to the top of Taipei 101, currently the third tallest skyscraper in the world. The Feng Chia Night Market, (the largest night market in the country) offers the opportunity to shop for souvenirs such as wall hangings, jewelry, silk scarves, clothing, and famous Chinese teas, as well as gives you the chance to sample food from over 150 food stalls!

Relation of Opportunity to National Church and/or Long-term Goals
With 50+ years of experience in long and short term missions ministry, Teen Missions has developed a strong relationship with the national church. Teen Missions has ministry bases in 22 countries where local youth from the national churches receive training and national church ministries receive work and evangelism projects. With over 300 full-time staff members (mostly nationals), we have a long-term presence on the ground long after the short-term team departs. This ensures that the valuable work and evangelism ministries of our summer teams are woven into the daily year-round efforts of the local host effecting lasting change and ministry fruit. Most of our teams are hosted by our own national full-time staff missionaries. Other teams are hosted by national churches and local ministries with whom, in most cases, we’ve been working with for years (if not decades).
Additional Trip Information
NOT Included: $30 registration fee, travel to and from Orlando, FL, and personal spending money.
For all teams outside of the U.S., you will need to obtain a passport.
