COMMIT is a church mobilization ministry assisting local churches through the provision of short-term ministry opportunities, short-term trip training, and the use of focused academics in order to prepare believers to be set apart serve.
Mission/Vision Statement
COMMIT strongly advocates short-term ministry training, short-term ministry trips, and the use of appropriate academic hurdles to enable western churches to become strategically involved in world evangelism. Our local church objectives include: comprehensive short-term programs among the ministries already supported; strategize for effective, focused global ministry, and corporate adoption of one or more unreached people groups worldwide.
Doctrinal Statement
WE BELIEVE in the one and only true God; the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit, the Creator of all things. We believe the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s only unique Son was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, was crucified, buried, resurrected 3 days later, ascended into Heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father; fully God and fully man. We believe the entire Bible to be Gods’ inspired Word & an infallible rule of faith & conduct. We believe in the resurrection of the dead and divine judgment for all; eternal life for those saved by the Good News and eternal punishment to those who refuse it. We believe water baptism is an outward act of obedience to Jesus & the gift of the Holy Spirit who comes upon all believers. We believe in the personal salvation of all believers through Jesus’ shed blood, in sanctification through the Word of God by the Holy Spirit & in personal holiness of the heart & life. We believe in the triumphant return of the Lord Jesus following completion of His mandate & the church age. We believe that evangelization & discipleship work are for ALL believers and that this is in accordance with the will of God.
