Full Description:
The inner-city can be a tough place with many needy people struggling with poverty and homelessness. God’s people have been in the forefront seeking to meet those needs. STEM has a wide variety of urban partners so that teams can participate in several different kinds of ministry: park evangelism, soup kitchens, community food shelves, children’s ministry, teaching English to immigrants.
Minneapolis is a “Gateway City” with a wide range of different cultures as immigrants have settled here from around the world in the past few years. Teams have unique opportunities to meet peoples out of reach of the Gospel in their home countries. You can get plenty of cross-cultural experience without needing a passport as you interact with refugees and ethnic minorities.
This is an opening to create and send your own team. With a team of 12 or more people you can form your own team and pick your own dates. We will work with you to customize your trip, matching the gifts and skills of your team with the needs in urban Minneapolis.
