Full Description:
After the massive earthquake in January 2010, STEM sent a series of teams to help Haitian churches with the recovery effort. Estimates vary, but it’s likely that over a million Haitians are still living in tents. As the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere, Haiti still needs all kinds of help to recover and rebuild.
We’re looking for groups of twelve or more to serve in Haiti in response to our partner churches’ invitation. Construction workers and health care professionals are especially needed, but both skilled and unskilled workers can make a significant contribution.
Teams help with construction projects, medical clinics and children’s ministry, serving wherever our partner churches most need them.

STEM maintains solid partnerships with local ministries in the countries where our teams serve. Local Christian leaders provide guidance and leadership for our teams, so they may be used most effectively where the needs are the greatest. Our role is to support and encourage the national church and to come alongside them to reach the unreached, and to help those who are struggling or in need. The local church is a vital partner in our ministry, helping our teams to adapt to the local culture, planning ministry projects and activities, and providing the necessary follow-through after teams have left.

8-day/7-night cost per person (excluding round trip airfare to Port-au-Prince) = $995
($75 registration fee plus $920 team fee) For longer teams add $65 per day This fee covers all your on-field expenses: food, water, lodging, transportation, interpreters, emergency medical insurance, ministry materials and offerings to our Haitian partners. Not included in this amount are: airfares, passports, immunizations.
