There are lots of ministry opportunities in the New Orleans area including helping local organizations, shelters, churches & neighborhoods with their ongoing efforts to rebuild. Ministries include sorting and distributing of donated items such as clothes, diapers, formula, water and food. Debris removal and clean up in flooded areas is a huge need as well. Make a difference in this hard hit area that is struggling, but that keeps on going!

Team leaders and members will receive a leaders/member manual prior to trip date with organizational rules and guidelines. Some training/orientation will be provided on field as well as some debriefing upon conclusion of the trip. Additional training and/or debriefing is the responsibility of the team leader. Online or resident training is available upon special arrangement.

Overnight accommodations may range from hotels to home stays. Price includes two meals per day. Trip is for six days and five nights. Trip is Sunday to Friday. Check in time is Sunday afternoon. Check out is Friday after breakfast. Transportation to and from, as well as during the trip, is the responsibility of the group.

Depending on the type of ministry, skills related to that ministry are very helpful. In New Orleans a lot of ministry involves construction, thus skills in carpentry, drywalling, electrical work and construction in general are useful.

Applications must be received 60 days prior to planned departure. Applications can be downloaded from our website and mailed or faxed. Contact our offices at (304) 248-8080 or e-mail us at missiontrips@wegoglobal.com. We will send you the requested information with a prospect sheet asking for potential dates, location of your trip and group size. We will then work with you to help determine the right date and place for group's trip.
