Full Description:
The purpose of this mission is to conduct medical and dental clinics, along with evangelism activities, in small fishing villages along Amazon tributaries in the non-restricted area of the Southern Amazon basin of Peru. The work is in support of evangelical mission churches in the villages.
Team members will fly from the USA to Lima to Cusco and finally to Puerto Maldenado. From that point all travel will be on the rivers in the CERT 50 foot dug-out canoe. Accommodations will be a combination of hotels, boarding houses, and tents on riverbanks. Meals will vary from restaurants when available, to campfire food. Open to healthcare professionals, healthcare students, and lay people. An optional tour of the Inca ruins at Machu Pichu can be arranged.

Pre-field training consists of a detailed mission manual and pre-trip devotional guide. There will be a team orientation and training meeting the first day in-country. The post-field debriefing consists of a 14 day post-trip devotional guide and written team member feedback.
