Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations” And we can – and should – “go” as God enables us with the gospel, whether in person, by mail or by sending someone!
Though you may consider going to impact others, you will find the impact is even greater on your own life. You will return different, broadened, stronger and with a new perspective.
Traveling to a third-world country is no picnic, but there is also little to compare with the rewarding experience of a mission trip. Your memories of the people, the children, the culture and your experience will be with you for a lifetime. Don’t miss the opportunity to minister from your heart in this unique personal way.
Ministry opportunities include: Working with children, Vacation Bible School, teaching, medical care, giving to the poor, helping in school, construction, street witnessing, painting, home visits and more. No matter who you are, there is something you can do!
Blessing the Children International staff will be with you all the way. Experienced with the culture, they will serve as your guides – working with you to make your trip rewarding, fruitful and fulfilling. All of our staff speaks English so you'll be right at home, and we will have translators to accompany you in the community.

The Adana Children Center is located in Debre Zeyit, Ethiopia. Debre Zeyit is only 45 minutes outside the capitol of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa.

We work closely with four local churches, and have weekly activity days at the churches with the children and their foster families. There are many opportunities for long term missionaries and after the first four months, Blessing the Children participates in your monthly expenses. Trip cost includes all expenses for your two weeks, including airfare from a major US airport, transportation while in Ethiopia, translators, room and board, and any other expenses. You will need to bring your own spending money, and any extra money you may want to use to buy clothes, food, toys, etc. for children or families.

No experience or special training required. We believe that God doesn't always call the qualified, he qualifies the called. If you have special training in medical care, teaching, building, etc. we would love to use you in those specific areas. But if you do not have an area of special training or talent, don't let that stop you! We can use you, regardless.

Travel to Ethiopia requires a Visa, which you can get here in the US or upon arrival to Ethiopia. You will also need to make sure you have all the required shots, as well as Malaria pills. You can inquire about this information from your local health department or travel MD.
