Full Description:
Use your skills to serve Asian Access and increase your vision at the same time! Asian Access' communications department has a creative team waiting for your involvement. We need people with a highly specialized skill set involving communications type abilities: internet/intranet, website development, writing/editing, photography/editing, design (print or web), video, etc...
We need people who:
* are team players and who like to tell a story.
* are gifted in creativity
* can volunteer in their part-time to impact Asia from wherever they are.
* can collaborate via phone, email and internet.

Specifically, we would like to collaborate with anyone who has knowledge/experience/skills in one or more of the following areas:
INTERNET SKILLS
a. social networking web sites (i.e., Facebook, YouTube, etc.).
b. website development/design using "Open Source" applications, such as a CMS (e.g. Joomla) and blog engine software, including knowledge of PHP, MySQL, CSS, and basic HTML.
c. secure intranet, especially administration via software (e.g., Joomla or Liferay preferred).
WRITING & STORYTELLING SKILLS
d. art of storytelling and/or blogging.
e. writing and/or editing articles for print (newsletter) or web (blog).
ART & DESIGN SKILLS
f. photography and/or photo editing.
g. print design: page layout design and software (e.g., InDesign).
h. video: videography, video editing, DVD authoring/replication.
DATA ENTRY & EDITING SKILLS
i. data entry via a web-based interface.
j. transcription from audio/videotape.
Many other possibilities available... Students who need to fulfill a field education internship in communications, writing or media are welcome!

If partnering for a year or more, you can possibly raise support to travel to Asia and visit a ministry location or attend an Asian Access conference in Japan, Thailand, or Singapore/Malaysia to serve in a communications role (writer/reporter, photographer, videographer, etc.)

Your creative contributions will help enable Asian Access to build up the national church in 8 (and growing) countries through its ministry of developing leaders and multiplying churches across Asia. Our communications department assists Asian Access in mobilizing missionaries and raising funds to deliver its two-fold ministry in Asia.

1. Christian in agreement with Asian Access' statement of faith (see organization profile).
2. Native or fluent English speaker.

4. Plus knowledge/experience/skills in one or more of the areas listed above in the full description.
