:: Christ For the City International
Full Description:
The capital city, San Salvador, is the most prosperous city in the nation. Yet, it is inundated with poverty stricken, gang-riddled neighborhoods. In the midst of these communities, the HOPE of Jesus Christ is rising up and the people are responding. Bring your team and bring HOPE.
Medical Clinic
In the impoverished neighborhood of Altavista, few people have access to affordable medical care. Bring a team of medical professionals to care for these people and bridge the gap.
Soccer School
It is no secret that Latin Americans love soccer, but this may be the one thing keeping youth out of the gang ridden streets. Bring your soccer team to play games and share the love of God.
Bendicion de Dios
On the outskirts of San Salvador lies Bendicion de Dios– Blessing of God. It has no running water or electricity and its inhabitants live in constant fear of a mud slide. Your team can bring hope through VBS, construction, tutoring, teaching English, games and crafts.

| Comments: |
We are with you every step of the way. We help you select the country, ministry project and dates when your team will serve. We then introduce you to the person who will be receiving your team in-country. Team leaders are provided with guidance and a resource manual several weeks or months prior to departure. While on the field, the missionary staff provides a ministry and cultural orientation, and the last day of the trip is spent in debrief at a special location.
|
Relation of Opportunity to National Church and/or Long-term Goals: |
|
On all of our bases, the local ministries are run by long-term missionaries who are native to the country and know the specific needs of the communities they serve. They intentionally and consistently follow-up with the people groups your team ministers to.
