What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
Get ready for a summer you will never forget on the unique island nation of Madagascar!
Travel: After specialized motorcycle training at the Lord’s Boot Camp, you travel by bus to the Orlando International Airport to board a flight to Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, via Washington D.C., and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. From Antananarivo you bus 12 hours across Madagascar to the Teen Missions Bible, Missionary & Work (BMW) Training Center in Mahajanga, near Coco Beach on the coast of the Indian Ocean.
Ministry: You will spend the next several weeks riding alongside the national Circuit Riders, sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the Motorcycle Sunday School Mission ministry. Training at Boot Camp will equip you to teach Bible lessons, phonics classes, Bible quizzing and to play lots of games with the children. When the team is at the base, you will be involved with the BMW students’ ministries and work projects. Important Information: You must be at least 16 years old and have a valid U.S. or Canada Driver’s license.
Adventure: You will enjoy a day swimming in the Indian Ocean at a beachside village and an overnight camping trip where you may see lemurs. You will enjoy swimming at a waterfall and exploring nearby caves. Shop for souvenirs such as drums, jewelry and wood carvings to help you remember your amazing summer. This team returns to Ethiopia to Debrief with two other teams. After Debrief, your team terminates at the Washington Dulles International Airport.
