:: CSM - Center for Student Missions
Full Description:
CSM builds bridges between students and adults to urban ministry opportunities in key North American cities. The CSM experience allows participants to come to know God in a new way, using their gifts to promote the Kingdom of God. Much needed service is provided to CSM's ministry partners, the churches and agencies seeking to help the most marginalized urban populations. By participating in people-to-people ministries, students make new friends and learn from the city dwellers. You and your group will prepare food at homeless feeding ministries and then sit down and visit with the clients. You may participate in Children's outreach, evangelism or deliver meals to shut-ins.
65% of the world’s population now lives in urban centers and that number continues to grow. By bringing your group to minister with CSM, you will be educating them in the very place where God may call them to serve. The problems that exist in urban centers and the way that Christians are going about solving them are also transferable concepts that participants can take home and apply in their own communities.
