What the Mission Trip Will Be Like

Come join the Footsteps team next winter as we head to South Korea to help the local children. Use your unique skills to engage with the local children through Footsteps Winter Camps. Join our dynamic team of individuals and use Footsteps own curriculum to minister to children through teaching English, cooking, craft-making, music, games, and more!

South Korea is a small country with a large economy. Seoul, the capital of Korea is the largest city and has an estimated population of 15 million people. The South Koran Christian population is between 20-30%. However, Korea is home to the largest Christian church in the world. In general, the English language is highly valued and can be very beneficial to job placement in Korea.

After camp is done, spend time building relationships with other Footsteps team members and experiencing some of the local culture. Weekends will give you the opportunity to go see the sights and experience the local culture of South Korea.

Relation of Opportunity to National Church and/or Long-term Goals

Footsteps trips are designed to emphasize development of friendships and relationships with local ministries. Footsteps partners are typically schools (international, private, and public) and churches.

When working with churches, American English camps are a great outreach opportunity to meet a need in the community.

Training debriefing
Our training is typically done on an exciting, interactive day of learning about culture, country specifics, service, team building, and more. It is often done with a larger group of people from a specific location. If there are only one or two people from an area then we are often combining their training with others or doing some more one on one training over the phone and with reading assignments along with some other training on the field prior to starting the service. Debriefing usually happens near the end of the trip to discuss the things that people have learned, highlight the ways they have seen God working, and learning about re-entry and how to use the life lessons learned in the future
