What the Mission Trip Will Be Like

You have the opportunity to use your gifts to help transform the lives of orphaned children and families in need. Our mission trips are designed to educate guests about the world orphan crisis and opportunities to preserve families facing a crisis. Your mission trip focuses on building relationships with the children at Dorie’s Promise and local community members. Hearing their stories and serving changes your perspective on poverty and will forever change your life.

Forever Changed International serves the people of Guatemala in two powerful ways:

1. Orphan Care

The heart of our organization is Dorie’s Promise, our orphan care home in Guatemala City. Our priority is children feeling safe and loved in our home. Our family environment and dedicated staff promote the physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual healing of all those in our care. We want to transform their lives and give them every opportunity to thrive and break the cycle of poverty. Each day your team will participate in special activities with our children, expanding your understanding of orphans and orphan care.

2. Community Outreach

Our community programs make an even greater impact in the Guatemalan orphan crisis. We partner with solid organizations, and our dedicated staff focuses on sustainable solutions to combat poverty because we believe children thrive best in loving families. We donate food year-round to local families and in feeding centers to fight hunger and encourage better health. Our construction projects provide concrete floors, roofs, bathrooms, stoves, and new homes to families who lack basic shelter and sanitation. During your visit, you will visit and serve families in both rural and urban communities.

Accommodations/Transportation/Meals:

All in-country accommodations, transportation, and meals are included in your trip. From the moment you exit the airport, our staff is ready to help create a life-changing experience. You will feel at home in comfortable local accomodations near our home. Our team takes care of all your transportation needs.
