Europe is considered the least evangelized continent in the world, with only 2% of the population attending church regularly. This summer, you and your team will travel across the Balkans in Eastern Europe, a beautiful region along the Adriatic Sea. This region has everything from mountains to beaches and bustling city centers to outdoor markets. On this trip, you will spend time ministering to locals and tourists alike as you explore several different cities with unique cultures. If you are up for an adventure in a part of Europe that is off the beaten path and have a passion for loving others in Jesus name, this is the trip for you!

What the Mission Trip Will Be Like

Eastern Europe Missions Trip

As you travel across Eastern Europe, you will visit some of the most fascinating locales in all of Europe, exploring places such as Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Albania. You’ll also partner with vibrant believers making a significant impact. Eastern Europeans love most things American: the music, clothes… you name it! Coming from the West automatically makes you cool, giving you a wide open door to share Jesus.

How many of your friends can say they hung out at the beach on the Baltic Sea, traversed through the Carpathian Mountains, or explored the castle of the infamous Count Dracula? Or on a more sober and serious note, how many people do you know have experienced first-hand the remnants of Hitler and his Nazi regime?

Ministry— The team will use dance, drama, community service, and intentional conversations to engage atheists, Muslims, Catholics, Refugees, and everyone in between. Conversations come easily with people in Europe; they tend to love challenging topics and are open to hard questions and exploring new ideas. We also partner with local churches and organizations to ensure that there is a place for follow-up and maximum impact after our time in each country.

Adventure— On this trip, you will get to see some of the most beautiful countryside in all of Europe; Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Albania. You’ll explore city centers that were born in the Middle Ages, flourished during the Renaissance, and have survived many extraordinary revolutions. You’ll wander through winding cobblestone streets and climb numerous towers… clock towers, church towers, and even bridge towers. You’ll venture into the epic beauty of the rock formations, rivers, and deep green forests of the Carpathian Mountains. Or how about visiting the deep and mysterious forests of Transylvania and climbing through the spiraling hilltop castle of the real Count Dracula? Eastern Europe is severely underrated, leaving it mostly untouched by Western tourists… all the more reason to explore and adventure through it all!

Spiritual Growth— When you’re involved in intense ministry, each country and culture challenges you in its own unique way. And while both Romania and Poland are in Eastern Europe, the differences will surprise you. The Lord will use your experiences ministering in these countries to not only strengthen your faith but also challenge you to deepen your commitment to following Him.

Like all Royal Servants teams, you’ll be spending a lot of time in the Bible. You will be doing daily Bible studies, working on memorizing scripture, and spending time in worship and prayer. Because of those things, coupled with all the ministry you’ll be doing, you’re going to experience God's work in your life in truly significant ways.

New Friends—Friendships develop fast as you travel to “the other side of the pond.” You will forge deep friendships as you minister together in so many ethnically diverse regions. At the end of a hard day of ministry, you will appreciate the time with your friends to worship and praise the Lord together. You are going to learn about Kingdom love and develop friendships that honor the Lord and make Him smile.
