Full Description:
March 9- 15, 2013. What are you doing for Spring Break? How about joining us next March here in Alaska to get closer to God, meet new friends, serve the disadvantaged, and have a great time! This project is great for church groups, individuals and families – and especially students on Spring Break. This is a great time to be in Alaska. Days are long. Temps are not bad. And we've got lots of snow.
We'll be feeding the homeless, shoveling snow for the elderly, possibly volunteering with the Iditarod Sled Dog Race, helping on a Habitat for Humanity home, helping children at Boys and Girls club, working with Native Head Start kids, encouraging seniors, and much more!
For fun, there will be opportunities for snowmobiling, snowhiking in the forest, moose-viewing, possibly dogsledding, snowboarding and downhill skiing, worldclass cross-country skiing, ice-fishing, snowshoeing, flightseeing, shopping, and checking out the Northern Lights. The world-class Alyeska Ski Area is only 45 min away and you'll have a day free to do whatever you wish. http://www.alyeskaresort.com/ You choose!
Over the past four years we have hosted almost 3,000 volunteers. We will care for you in a manner that honors your time and financial investment.
Schedule:
March 9. Saturday. Arrive Anchorage
March 10-14 Ministry Project.
March 15. Sightseeing Day. Evening departure home.
March 16. Arrive Home
How Much? Cost for the project is $450 per person. This includes airport transfers, all meals, housing, transportation, guided sightseeing, ministry set-up, and all the snow icecream you want! It does not include airfare. You need to book your own tickets arriving and departing at the times we request. We ask for a $50 deposit when you send in your application, but the balance is not due till two weeks before you come.

The price covers everything except airfare. Includes lodging, transportation, meals. We meet you at the airport and kiss you goodbye when you leave. Of course some of the recreation opportunites will be extra (snowmobiling, dogsledding, flightseeing, skiing, etc).
The expense of this mission trip portion is considered a charitable donation and is a tax deduction.
