Mission/Vision Statement:We are long term missionaries who use short term mission groups in fulfilling the Great Commission!Doctrinal Statement:The BibleWe believe that the Bible was inspired in every word and thought and therefore, without error (2 Tim.2:15-17). All scripture is the product of men writing as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit (2 Pet. 1:19-21). The Bible is God's complete revelation to mankind and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work (2 Tim. 3:16). The Nature of God We believe that there is only one living and true God (Deut. 6:4). He is spirit and is infinite in relation to time, space, knowledge and holiness. He is the Creator and Sovereign Lord of the universe and worthy of all praise, honor, confidence, and devotion. In the Godhead we believe there are three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each person of the trinity is equally God and totally united in essence and purpose. Jesus Christ We believe that He is fully God and through the virgin birth became fully man as well. Jesus lived a perfect life without sin and gave His life as the complete and perfect payment for our sins. Christ rose from the dead and now is our High Priest forever. Through His work on the cross, we are forgiven for our sins, receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, power for living the Christian life, and eternal life. The Holy Spirit We believe that the Holy Spirit is fully God and is the agent of the new birth, convicting men of sin, calling them to repentance, and indwelling them. He lives within the believer to guide and empower them to please God and fulfill His plan for their lives. Satan We believe Satan is a real adversary of the believer and must be battled with spiritual weapons (Eph. 6). He is a fallen angel and roams about seeking to destroy. He will ultimately be thrown into the Lake of Fire. Man We believe man was created in the image of God, but that through the sin of Adam and Eve, is now born with a sinful self will, and nature. Men are completely unable to become righteous on their own and are spiritually dead until God enters their life and they are reborn. Unless man in born again he remains dead in his sins and will be cast into the Lake of Fire upon death. Salvation We believe that as a result of the fall of Adam and Eve, mankind is totally depraved, dead in their sins, and without hope of eternal life with God in heaven. If not born again during their life-time, they will spend eternity in the Lake of Fire separated from God (Rom. 3:23). As a result of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, each person's sins are forgiven and paid for upon receiving the free gift of salvation in Christ alone (Jn 3:16). Salvation is by faith in Christ alone, and not by works of man (Eph. 2:8,9). It is given by the grace of God and is available to all who believe. The gift of salvation is found only in receiving Christ and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). |
