Appalachia Service Project

Founded 1969

Appalachia Service Project (ASP) provides one of the most rewarding structured service opportunities in the nation -- bringing thousands of volunteers from around the country to rural Central Appalachia to repair homes with low-income families. But ASP is more than just a building program. Yes, Appalachia's families urgently need your help, but they can help change your life, too. Because when you change the lives of others, they have a way of changing you, too. Appalachia Service Project (ASP) is a Christian ministry, open to all people, that inspires hope and service through volunteer home repair in Central Appalachia. Our vision is to see substandard housing in Central Appalachia eradicated and everyone who comes in contact with ASP transformed.
