Over the past year I've been in the hospital 4 times, and am likely to go back again.

I didn't plan this into my life, but our Savior brought it to me. Since I'm always going in to see the same Dr.'s and nurses and hospital personnel it is an opportunity to build some relationships, and possibly witness to some of them. Also, it is a good opportunity to find out who the Christians are, and be an encouragement to them in the work they have at the hospital.

This last time, I found that having visitors and family can be a real help in healing. I've been given the gift of a wonderful family who visits me often in the hospital, and most often one of them stays the night in the room with me. So there is always someone there to help if needed, and ask extra questions. The conclusion, I should visit people in the hospital...especially from church...even if I don't know them.

If you get this kind of opportunity, don't pass it up.

I only noticed one problem...it is more difficult to maintain a regular time of prayer and Bible Study...or even an irregular one since there are so many interruptions.

If anyone has suggestions for this problem, let me know. Thanks. Your brother in Christ, Tim JN.14:27 Rom.5:8

Thats a great ministry, i know that through a few surguries i have had that oppertunity and im still in high school! Hopefully God wont put me in your possision but i know that he will bless you far beyond the blessing of reading your bible. However, a suggestion might be to use the bible and your study time as a ice breaker for nurses or people who pass by. I know that when i see someone with a bible i jump on the oppertunity to discuss anything biblical with them... sometimes you get people who have never been interested into the conversation just out of curiosity! so my suggestion is grab your bible and read or study with the family or guests that are there! Hope all goes well for you Tim. Get well soon, good luck, people are always praying!
