Great youth short term trips!

My name is Matt Reichard and I am on staff at a great short term summer missions opportunity for young people ages 13-20 and leaders ages 21-60. The program is called TIMS, Teens In Missionary Service. We seek to bring SMALL teams of young people from all over North America together to do PERSONAL ministry overseas. The program begins with a 10 day training school at the Christian Retreat Center in Pennslvania, Following that teams spend three weeks on the field and then 3 days back together for debrief in Pennsylvania. Our teams do all sorts of ministry, some of those are construction, prayer walking, Bible schools, orphanage and school ministry and village to village evangelism. We have sent teams in the past to the Navajo mission in New Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Haiti, Trinidad and Tabago, Venezuela, Romania, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Kenya. In the summer of 2003 we will offer teams, on a first come first serve basis, to Honduras, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Haiti, El Salvador, Romania, Kenya, Burkina Faso and Zimbabwe. Wow, that sounds interesting, in that you offer a good bit of training. I have coordinated short-term trips for single adults through my church and offered some token training classes before the trip, but nothing comprehensive. Would you mind mentioning which foreign churches you are partnering with to do these projects?
